Kibworth & District U3A


Kibworth and District U3A runs a wide range of self-learning groups; from Spanish language and culture to gardening; from bridge to crafts and from line dancing to film appreciation

No guest speakers were at our December Christmas party, but there was lots of entertainment and fun.


Alongside the usual quiz, mulled wine and festive eats, we were entertained by local schoolchildren singing a variety of carols, some delightful poetry recitals by members and tunes by Beaker Folk, where the audience joined in with a rousing chorus of Wizard’s ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’.  If only…

We beat the January blues when, in addition to the Annual General Meeting, Roger Powell delivered an intriguing talk entitled ‘Royal Mistresses’. His publication, entitled ‘Royal Sex, Mistresses and Lovers of the British Royal Family’ gave us a clue as to what was in store
