Students have come back from the summer holidays with a really positive attitude and have collectively achieved over 150,000 reward points for demonstrating our values of work hard, be kind, be proud, which bodes really well for the school year.

Impressive Year 7

Our Year 7 continue to impress us with how well they have settled into secondary school life. They have made the most of every opportunity, from sports fixtures to band practice, to library helpers and Dungeons and Dragons club. Some of our newest clubs including Historical Film club, Storyquest club, Italian club and our latest addition, the girls Rugby club, run by a Leicester Tigers player, have been particularly popular with our youngest members of the KMA family. STEM Racing club starts after half term and is already causing much excitement!

International Trips

There have been two international trips this half term. Our Year 10/11 Historians are currently in Poland, and are having a memorable and thought provoking experience. In addition, at the end of September a group of Y9-Y11 French students visited Nice to explore the language and the culture. Over an action-packed five days they visited many sights including the Promenade des Anglais, the flower market, the old town and even the Allianz Riviera Arena Stadium. They even spent a day in Monaco, visiting the port and seeing the F1 route.  On the fifth day they flew home, exhausted but smiling!

Open Evenings

Also last month we hosted our Year 6 Open Evening and we were overwhelmed with the number of visitors keen to see what KMA has to offer, with well over 600 visitors in attendance. We had over 150 KMA students keen to act as student ambassadors and helpers, to share their pride in their school. Since Open Evening we have run school tours most days, and the positive feedback that we are getting from the local community is really heartening.
