Kibworth Scouts Take Part in Community Week — October 2026
The first week of October was ‘Taking part in the community week’ for all our Scout sections here in Kibworth.
Beavers lend a hand
Our Beavers spent two evenings on a litter pick in the local parks. They gathered a brilliant amount of rubbish considering there are so many bins available to put rubbish in! Who knew litter picking could be so much fun?
Cubs visit Kibworth Court
Meanwhile, the Cubs popped over to Kibworth Court Residential Home for a lovely chat with several residents. The staff in the home organised joint activities, and the residents and Cubs played games together.
Scouts and Squirrels meet the wildlife
Meanwhile, the Scouts and Squirrels visited Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital. The younger ones enjoyed a fantastic talk from the staff and got to see many of the animals currently being looked after.
Later this term, the Scouts will be crafting cosy hedgehog houses ready for hibernation.
