Kibworth Scouts Are Back! Volunteers Needed

We’re excited to be restarting our weekly meetings after the summer break and can’t wait to hear all about our young people’s adventures and discover the new skills they’ve learnt along the way. We’re also delighted to welcome back our fabulous Kibworth Scouts volunteers — hopefully a little rested and feeling ready for the term ahead!
But, as ever, we need more adults to help us keep Scouting running safely and consistently.
Our volunteers do an amazing job, but we are currently incredibly short of people to support our weekly meetings. We want to continue providing a safe, fun and engaging programme for all our young people, and we need more adults to make that possible.
You don’t need to have a child attending Scouts to volunteer. All you need is enthusiasm, a willingness to get involved, learn new skills and meet new people.
Our sections meet on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with meetings lasting around 45 minutes to an hour. If you’re wondering whether volunteering might be right for you, please get in touch – we’d love to have a chat and tell you more.
Help behind the scenes
We’re also looking for people who would like to support the overall running of our charity. These roles can be a great option if you’d prefer to volunteer from an administrative side and need something that’s more flexible around your other commitments.
We’re particularly looking for:
- New trustees to help oversee and manage the charity.
- Someone who could take on secretary duties, including taking minutes and helping to plan meetings.
- Someone with an interest in leadership who would be willing to chair our meetings.
Help look after our Scout Land
For those who love gardening, getting outdoors and making a difference, we’re also looking for help to manage and develop the Scouts’ Land by Warwick Park.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to help enhance and care for this unique space, creating somewhere special for our young people to enjoy for years to come.
Could you spare a little time to help Kibworth Scouts? Whether you’d like to get involved with weekly meetings, help behind the scenes or get stuck into our outdoor space, there’s a role for you.
Please consider volunteering with us. If you’d like more information or simply want to ask a question, we’d love to hear from you:
Come and be part of the team!
