Telraam Figures – Year to August
The Telraam figures are in for the whole year up to the end of August. The figures do not make pleasant reading.
The total number of vehicles using the A6 past Harcourt Estate is now 6,426,489 over the last year to 31 August.
Shouldn’t the road be called the A6.4!
Unsurprisingly, the number of vehicles exceeding 31 mph in this 30 mph zone is 1,901,314 (29.5% of all vehicles exceed the speed limit). If only each of these drivers paid £10 for each time they drove faster than the road marking suggests, then Kibworth could be £19 million better off! Now that’s a thought. Leicestershire County Council, who now manage the road since it was de-trunked by the Highways Agency a few years ago, perhaps should install traffic cameras which would severely reduce speeding, I am sure.
