Robert Monk Trust

Trustees have had a busy few months looking after the Foxton village hall. We were fortunate to receive a Ward Improvement Grant, which enabled us to buy ten new smaller tables for the hall and a much-needed new noticeboard for the outside of the building.

At our AGM in March, Vice Chair Brett Lane was elected as the new Chair of the Trustees. Brett has lived in Foxton for eight years and is often seen at the park with his three children or walking his dog in the surrounding fields. He works as a Pre-Construction Manager for a construction company. Brett said, “I am very pleased to be the new Chair of the Robert Monk Trust. Having attended and used the village hall for many events, and recognising its importance to the community, I wanted to help ensure it continues to be well maintained.”

Kerry Farnsworth, who served as Acting Chair in 2025-2026, stepped down from the role and was nominated and elected as Vice Chair.

Trustees were sorry to receive the resignation of long-standing trustee Vicki Bray, who has served the trust for more than 20 years as Chair, Vice Chair,Trustee, and Secretary. Vicki will be greatly missed, and the trustees wish her well.

Sarah Luke, Secretary.
