Am I being cynical?

Dear Editor

Looking at last month’s Kibworth and District Chronicle front page I can see the planning application for the very large development is to made to Harborough District Council planning department probably during what used to be called the ‘July fortnight’ .

Just at the time of the year when many people are away on holiday and their thoughts are very much on other matters away from the village. Am I being cynical or realistic?
