Kibworth Cricket Club

As we move deeper into the 2026 season, there’s certainly been no shortage of effort, and excitement around the club. From tough weekends on the pitch to huge opportunities off it, the season so far has already shown exactly what our club is all about — resilience, community, and ambition.

Senior Cricket

The opening weeks of the league campaign have brought mixed results across the senior sides. There have been some excellent individual and team performances, alongside a few frustrating days where things simply haven’t gone our way. That’s cricket!

Our players continue to represent the club with commitment and energy every weekend, and despite a few difficult results recently, the spirit around the club remains strong.

Women and Junior Sections

The women’s and junior sections continue to grow strongly, both in participation and enthusiasm. Training nights have been packed, with fantastic energy around the club from players, coaches, volunteers, and parents alike.

Our junior programme remains one of the key strengths of the club, with players continuing to develop their skills while enjoying the game in a positive environment.

Facilities and Grounds

The grounds team have once again worked tirelessly to prepare both grounds to a fantastic standard. Recent investment into new roll-on covers — kindly sponsored by Crouch Recovery — has already made a huge difference to our matchday operations.

The addition of the new covers on the main ground has also allowed the previous covers to be utilised on the bottom ground, significantly improving our ability to protect wickets and manage fixtures across the site.

A Huge Summer Ahead

2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years in the club’s history off the field too. We are incredibly proud to once again host several representative and ECB fixtures throughout the summer, including the return of the Metro Bank game between Leicestershire and Gloucestershire on Wednesday 22 July. Tickets are available now.

These events are a fantastic opportunity to showcase our facilities, volunteers, and wider cricket community to visitors from across the country.

Thank You

Finally, a massive thank you to everyone who continues to support the club — players, volunteers, sponsors, parents, supporters, and members. Whether you’re helping behind the bar, scoring, cutting the outfield, coaching juniors, sponsoring equipment, or simply supporting from the boundary edge, the club simply wouldn’t function without you.

There is still a long way to go this season, and plenty of cricket left to enjoy. We look forward to seeing everyone at the club throughout what promises to be another memorable summer at Kibworth Cricket Club.
