Kibworth Golf Club

Community, Care, and the Future of Golf at the Club
This past weekend highlighted the strong sense of community at the club, with members coming together not only to enjoy the game but also to learn valuable life-saving skills.
‘Heartwize Charity’
Representatives from the local ‘Heartwize Charity’ gave CPR demonstrations throughout the day to members, offering a practical and engaging session on how to respond in emergency situations. The demonstration covered essential techniques, including chest compressions, the use of defibrillators, and how to remain calm under pressure. Members of all ages took part, and the session was widely appreciated for its clear guidance and hands-on approach. Events like these reinforce the club’s commitment to the wellbeing of its community, ensuring that members feel confident and prepared should the need ever arise. Incidentally ‘Heartwize’ do offer training to businesses and schools locally, go to www.heartwize.org for further information.
Junior member events
Alongside this important initiative, the club has recently been a hub of activity for its younger members. ‘The Junior Schools Championships’ hosted at the club, brought together talented young golfers from across the area. The event was a great success, showcasing not only impressive skill levels but also sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the game. Our very own Noah Williams shot a gross 74 to be crowned the 2026 Schools Golf Champion. Congratulations Noah!
Looking ahead, the club is continuing to invest in the next generation of players with its upcoming ‘Junior County Pathway Tour.’ Designed specifically for juniors who are new to golf, the tour aims to provide a welcoming introduction to the sport. It will focus on building confidence, developing fundamental skills, and, most importantly, fostering a love for the game.
From life-saving education to nurturing young talent, the club continues to play a vital role both on and off the course. With initiatives that support safety, learning, and development, it remains a place where members of all ages can grow, connect, and thrive.
