Shearsby Celebrates Easter
Residents of Shearsby came together over the bank holiday weekend to celebrate Easter with a creative and family-friendly village trail that drew widespread participation and praise.
A total of 27 households took part, transforming their homes with imaginative Easter-themed displays. Armed with maps, local children and their families explored the village, searching for each display and solving a hidden number challenge along the way.

Once completed, participants returned their answer sheets to The Chandlers Arms, where organiser Bex had arranged a festive reward for the young explorers. Children received goody bags packed with games, puzzles, toys, sweets, and chocolate, adding to the excitement of the day.
The event also included a vote for the best display, with the winning household receiving a special Easter-themed prize bundle.
The trail proved to be a great success, bringing neighbours together and creating a strong sense of community spirit. Many residents have already expressed enthusiasm for next year’s event, with hopes of making it even bigger and better.
