Kibworth Grammar School Hall Trustee
I was pleased to read the letter from Martyn Wyburn in the March issue. I would like to pay my own tribute to him and his work as outgoing Chairperson. As a former Trustee for seven years of what was then the Grammar School Hall, I wish to say how I appreciated at first-hand the hard work that both he and Joan Fillingham did over many years in the Chair.
I think many people do not realise how much unpaid hard work and dedication they put into this role. This was done out of concern that the hall should run smoothly as a village asset, keeping up to date with local needs and trends.
I am one of those people who are sad that the Parish Council are taking over. All we can hope is that they do as a good a job as their predecessors.
