As ‘SLADE’ would shout in their well-known record “It’s CHRIST……MAS”.
And that’s exactly what those of us at KMC are celebrating at this time of year. A time when we can all join together to remember Jesus being born on Earth to save all of us in the Kibworth area, as well as the rest of this World.
You may attend Church every week or maybe just once a year. But many of us would feel that there was something missing at Christmas if we didn’t spend even a small part of the holiday period Lighting Candles, Singing Carols, and hearing once again about the Christmas Story.
We have services in our small church at 10.30am every Sunday. This climaxes with our 3 Family Services during the Christmas Week.
Fun and Friendly Carol Service
On Sunday 21 December, we will hold a ‘Fun and Friendly Carol Service’. This is led by our own minister, Rev Andy Murphy. He also leads us on Sunday 28 December (at 10.15am) with the congregations from 2 other churches (Rothwell & Market Harborough) for a Joint Christmas Family Communion Service with Carols. This is in Market Harborough Church (LE16 9HE).
The Climax of our Celebrations at Kibworth takes place on Christmas Day. We will hold a short Service with Carols at 10.30am in our own Chapel in School Road. This leaves plenty of time to return home before the turkey needs to be removed from the oven! Bring your family & visitors along to celebrate Christ’s Birth and to sing some well-known Christmas Carols.
All our Christmas Services will involve the lighting of our Advent Ring. This year we will also be giving away Children’s Comics. These tell the Christmas Story in Cartoon Form, and have Puzzles, and a DIY Nativity Scene complete with Stickers for children to take away and complete.
