Christmas Messages from the Churches of Kibworth
“On that first Christmas morning, the angels were singing, the shepherds were celebrating, the wise men were still travelling and the innkeeper was making breakfast for his full house. Meanwhile, Joseph was possibly feeling a little overwhelmed by the responsibility confronting him, and the Bible says Mary was ‘pondering’, ‘treasuring all these things in her heart’ (Luke 2:19) as she held and fed her new-born baby.
In this divided and confusing world – a world we are told Christ came to ‘redeem’, to set free, to save – whatever our Christmas holds, and whatever joy or grief we may going through, may we all find a moment of time, like Mary, to ponder and treasure things in our hearts, to wonder at the meaning of it all, and to find God with us.
Warmest Christmas greetings and love from everyone at Kibworth Methodist Church.”

“When I was asked to write a message from St Wilfrid’s Church, the first line of a carol dropped straight into my mind – “Love came down at Christmas”. Let’s do our best to make this Christmas a special time by showing just that bit of extra patience and love to those around us. And remember – it’s amazing what God can do through us, any of us!
The Churches of Kibworth, Saddington and Smeeton Westerby wish you a Joyful Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful New Year 2026. “
