Poles apart?
In response to the article in October issue under ‘What’s Gone On?’ and the newly installed telegraph poles. Unsurprisingly, we are still waiting for a reply from BT Openreach to our objections to the huge telegraph poles on the Rectory Lane Estate, which were installed suddenly and almost without warning in early September.
It seems rather senseless and inconsiderate of BT Openreach to use such incongruous poles, when Gigaclear have already proved that full fibre broadband can be successfully installed underground and out of sight on this estate.
My hope is that BT will realise the negative impact that these unwelcome poles have had on the area and take them down. We will have to wait and see what happens next.
Our local MP’s office has also approached BT Openreach about it, but as far as I can gather, they too are still awaiting a response.
