Kibworth Golf Club – Sept 25

Junior Golfers Shine on the World Stage!

At Kibworth Golf Club this summer has been an outstanding one for our Juniors. Noah Williams (U15) and Evan Fowler (U12) travelled to Northern Ireland to take part in the prestigious Champion of Champions Junior World Championships! With 250 juniors from 49 countries competing, it’s an incredible achievement just to qualify. Both boys secured their spots through the Robert Rock Junior Tour. Noah finished 1st and Evan 2nd in their age categories last season. Over three 18-hole rounds, Noah produced an excellent performance to finish 9th out of 40 competitors. While Evan secured a strong 30th place out of 60.
County Girls win title

Meanwhile, huge congrats to Freya Evans and Mia Ashton who helped the Leicestershire County Girls Handicap Team clinch the Midland North Region League title with a hard-fought 3–2 win over Shropshire.
On the school level, Logan Wright, Joe Pinnock, and Lucas Ashton proudly represented their schools in the England School Championships at Woodhall Spa. They finished an impressive 11th out of 30 schools, which is a great result.
Best Club in Leicestershire and Rutland – again
In other news. We’re proud to share that Kibworth Golf Club has once again been named the Best Club in Leicestershire and Rutland. Adding to the success, the Corah Shield is back in our hands. We’re delighted to be entering the England Golf Trophy once more, a title we proudly won in 2023. This year’s tournament will be held in Yorkshire at the end of September.
On the county stage, Leicestershire & Rutland triumphed in the Midland Qualifying competition of England Golf’s County Championship at Droitwich. A special mention goes to our team members Richard Wale (Captain), along with James Billingham and Luke Burrows from our greenkeeping team. They all played a vital role in the victory.
We’ve continued to improve our Driving Range over the summer too. We have added a large new astro turf area. This allows us to welcome even more players and make practice more enjoyable for everyone.
Why not come and join us?
