Face changes over the summer

A new barbershop has opened on the Square, previously occupied by the small opticians shop for several years.

A dog grooming establishment, Haus of Poochie, has taken up residence in the premises formerly occupied by Kibworth Bookshop on the High Street, which relocated to more spacious premises at The Barn some time ago.

Coco’s-at-56, a newly established café/bistro bar, has taken over the premises of the former Remington café.

Another shop has also opened on the Square called Scarlett and Wildflowers. This was previously Lloyd Harden, who continue to trade from its headquarters in Lubenham.

Additionally, a new Wellness Studio is opening soon at 12 Kibworth Estates on the A6.

Even the Barclays Bank building on the Square—remember when it was a bank?—has undergone agone new face!

The convenience store, which many years ago was a fire station and then in more recent times a doctor’s surgery, has undergone a significant renovation and name change to Costcutter. The opening hours posted on the wall outside must be the most extensive in Kibworth!

The front steps of Kibworth Village Hall have been completely replaced. They appear very attractive.

As is customary, the Kibworth and District Chronicle extends its most sincere wishes for the continued success of all the above new businesses.

A few questions remain though

What is happening to the old gas house on New Road? The very overgrown garden has been completely cleared.

What is happening to the Kibworth Club on Fleckney Road? The auction took place sometime ago and presumably it was sold but for what purpose?
