East Langton Parish Council Annual Parish Meeting
About a dozen residents attended the meeting after being leafletted that ideas are being sought from the Parish and West Langton Parish for the expenditure of s106 funds and Community Grant available to the Parish. Katie Fox and Serretta Morris, grant officers from Harborough District Council, were also in attendance to answer questions.
Three constituted bodies put forward ideas. Langton Cricket Club want to build an additional changing room to accommodate the girls team; St. Peters’ want to install toilets in the church; and Langton Community Hall want to upgrade the kitchen. The grants must be for capital builds, not repairs or maintenance, and there must be opportunity for the community to use the facilities.
All proposals need permissions, quotes, and additional funds if required, in place by the deadline dates. The proposal(s) will also require the support of the Parish Council.
The Parish Council will be liaising with the bodies and officers in the coming months.
