EV Chargepoints.
Did you know? The number of EV public chargepoints has increased by 760 in the East Midlands since April 2024. An increase of 27% according to recently released government figures. There are now over 3,600 such points.
Fox Connect Bus Service
This new service along with the retitled LC4 (formerly 44 with a few tweaks) service is an excellent addition which will enable more people to be more active and sociable. Sadly though the FoxConnect service does not operate on Bank Holidays.
Beryl Tory
Sadly, Beryl Tory (known to some as ‘Bezza’), the first recipient of the Kibworth & District Chronicle’s Richard Darke Award for community services back in June 2002 passed away on 15 April. A full appreciation will hopefully appear in next month’s edition.
The Cycle Shop
You can now find in the Kibworth Co-op car park, adjacent between the two Parcel Boxes, a Cycle Repair ‘workshop area’ with all the right tools to fully repair one’s bike. What an excellent and useful facility, part of the National Cycle Network.
