Methodist Matters – May 2025

Location
Our small church can be found in School Road; the side turning off the High Street opposite the Post Office.
Services
At 10.30am each Sunday; they are traditional in style, but very varied in content. Music is provided by a mixture of Organ and Piano. They are led by a variety of Ministers, Local Preachers, and Worship Leaders.
Children
Although we do not currently have children worshipping with us on a regular basis, they are always welcome when they do attend, and All Age Services are organised periodically and during Festivals.
Financial Matters
We never want anyone to feel that they cannot attend church for financial reasons, so do not hold a collection. Most of our regulars support the church by standing order. We just leave a plate by the entrance at services so visitors can contribute something or nothing towards the running of the church.
Births, Marriages, and Deaths
We can organise a wide range of Services to enable you to mark these special occasions, and commemorate these events with family and friends within the village itself.
Kibworth Methodist Pre-School
This meets each weekday during term-time on our premises.
Seniors Saturday Lunch
This is held monthly in our church.
The Well
Church members assist during the week in this welcoming place of community, friendship, and support for everyone. The Café, Charity Shop and Foodbank can be found in the High Street opposite the Post Office. They often host drop-ins from other Community Partners. It is part of the national Chatty Café Scheme.
Interesting Fact
A recent service was led by a visiting Local Preacher, Jess Merryfield-Surman. She conducted the service in her Wedding Dress, having recently married in Gretna Green. An interesting surname for a Preacher!
