Midlands Best Butchers
We are absolutely delighted to tell you that we won the Midlands round of the Countryside Alliance Awards 2025 and we now have a shot at the UK title. On Wednesday 18 June we head down to the House of Lords to find out if we have won the title of UK’s Best Butcher. We have to submit a case as to why we should win the UK title and are up against eight different regions of the UK. The Countryside Alliance Awards are in their nineteenth year and are prestigious in awarding those that work hard within the rural community.
We would like to thank all of our lovely customers for their fantastic nominations and votes. It’s great to hear that so many of you love our high quality products, friendly staff, cooking advice and commitment to local products. But what we have really gained from the feedback is that customers see us as a massive part of the community too, which we are really proud of.

Also encouraging the younger staff to take pride in their chosen careers under the guidance of very well respected craftsmen. The meat comes from the local farm, is slaughtered locally and carries a very low carbon footprint. High animal welfare is extremely important. Local suppliers are highly valued. We are so lucky to have such a fantastic butchers in the village.
