Phil King

Resident in Leicestershire -1984 and Kibworth Beauchamp – 2007. Phil’s married with three, grown-up children, who attended local schools. He’s worked in marketing/sales, in private, public sectors, and been involved in community groups such as Kibworth Scouts, Leicestershire Carers Centre, and even been a school governor and parish councillor!
From 2007, Phil has been a Kibworth’s ward District Councillor. From 2021 he was County Councillor for Market Harborough West & Foxton. With the retirement of long-serving Dr Kevin Feltham, he was selected to stand in Gartree division.

Phil says “It’s an honour and privilege to represent local residents already, but this election is about the future of our area, where I live, more so than ever before.
How you vote on the 1st May will shape our area for generations to come.
The Labour City Mayor, is pushing to expand the city into much of the Gartree division. This risks our rural communities being swallowed up.
Libdem led HDC’s local plan, allocates a 4,500 home, new town bigger than Lutterworth at Stretton Hall, Great Glen, with hundreds more homes at Kibworths.
With Neil O’Brien MP, and local residents, I’ve been campaigning to prevent our area from becoming a dumping ground for the city’s growth and the A6 being turned into a gigantic carpark.
This election is different – the risks are serious and clear.
On 1st May, I hope that you will do me the privilege of voting for me to be your County Councillor.
