Main Street Theatre Company – Murder in the Mailbox

We are delighted to announce that we are now well into rehearsals for our next show which is to be one of our infamous Murder Mystery Supper Nights. This intriguing tale of mayhem and mystery is entitled ‘Murder in The Mailbox’ and is to be performed by the group in Smeeton Westerby Village Hall on Friday 13 June or Saturday 14 June at 7 for 7.30pm.
For those who haven’t been to one of these shows before, it starts with a short play when a heinous murder takes place. Then whilst supper is being served, more clues are given out before the suspects circuit from table to table to be interrogated. The audience then have the opportunity to decide who they think committed the murder, how they did it and why. All of the answer sheets are collected in and the table or group who was the closest win a prize. Tickets, which are £15 for adults and £10 for children, can be reserved by ringing Janet on 07950409610 or 01162792810. We seat eight people on each table and we ask you to bring your own drinks and glasses. We do hope that you will be able to come and join us. Our murder mysteries always prove to be a great night out.
We are so sorry to say that one of our very dear members, Alex Briggs-Dolman, recently passed away. Alex had been a member of both the Main Street Theatre Company and the Kibworth Theatre Company. He performed in many plays, musicals and pantomimes in both groups. Alex’s last part was in ‘ A Bunch of Amateurs’, she played the star-struck Mary with great warmth and comedic timing. She will be sadly missed by us all.
