Main Street Theatre/Kibworth Theatre Company

As regular readers of the Chronicle will know, for the past couple of years, MSTC and KTC have been putting on co-productions, including very well received productions of Allo Allo, A Bunch of Amateurs and, the fabulous One Night Only, as well as some touring Murder Mysteries.

You will also know, that the two groups have been thinking that the best way forward is to undertake a formal merger and, at a meeting on the 7 May, that is what we have decided to do. We are having a further general meeting on the 21 May, so that we can elect a new committee and also decide by what name we will be known as in the future.

This is a very exciting development for the people of Kibworth and the surrounding area as both groups are well known for their very high production standards; there is nothing amateurish about amateur theatre in Kibworth.

If you would like to know more, then why not come along to the meeting on the 21 May, which will be held at the Kibworth Community Hub/Grammar School hall at 7.30. Or, we can be contacted via our Facebook pages.

We are also pleased to announce that we are about to start working on our next show. This will again be written by Ella Wright of One Night Only fame. Our working title is Holly Jolly Saves Christmas! We don’t want to say too much about this at present as Chronicle readers may object to articles about Christmas when we’re still only in May.  But it will definitely be a show worth seeing.
