Police and Crime Commissioner

The job of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is to ensure the policing needs of their communities are met as effectively as possible. They bring communities closer to the police, building confidence in the system and restoring trust.

The PPC gives the public a voice at the highest level. They give the public the ability to ensure their police are accountable.

There is to be an election for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland on Thursday 2 May.

Notification of the candidates who will be standing for this position are to be published on Monday 8 April as scheduled by The Electoral Commission.
