The Well – Feb ’24

The Well, Kibworth

Social Games

This month we are announcing the launch of a new social games group. It is run by the Local Area Coordinator, Amy. The first session will take place on the 6 February. Thereafter it will be held on the first and third Tuesday of the month for a couple of hours. It’s a free, friendly group for anyone who would like to meet new people in a relaxed environment. Bring your favourite games to play with others. There’s no need to book, you can just turn up.

The Bridge

There’s been a change to The Bridge housing advice drop-ins that are held in our cafe. Their advisor, Rachael, can help people with a wide range of housing issues such as rent/mortgage arrears, repairs, housing options, transfers and exchanges, landlord issues, anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes. The frequency has now changed from weekly to every other week on a Thursday between 1pm and 4pm.  No appointment needed. For further information, you can contact Rachael directly on 0800 0385964.

Youth Café

Do you have children of secondary school age? We have a ‘Youth Cafe’ every Tuesday evening between 6pm and 7:30pm. This is during term-time only and open to young people aged 11-16. It is run by qualified youth workers from the charity HCYC (www.hcyc.org.uk). It’s a safe space for young people to hang out with friends, do homework, play games or get involved in other activities such as crafts and cooking.  The sessions are free to attend.  If you are a parent or young person and would like to find out more, just turn up. You can also contact Kay Hillier at HCYC on kay.hillier@hcyc.org.uk.
