Kibworth Mead Academy December 23

At Kibworth Mead Academy we have been getting into the Christmas spirit. On Monday 4 December we took part in the TMET Christmas Concert at St James the Greater church, in Leicester.

This was a wonderful Trust-wide event in stunning surroundings, choreographed by our talented Head of Performing Arts, Mr Wright. All thirteen TMET schools were represented, performing to an audience of over 500 members.

Our senior band represented us admirably, with a memorable rendition of ‘Snowman,’ by Sia, and the evening was punctuated by readings from the Trust central team.

Work Hard, Be Kind, Be Proud

In line with our KMA values of Work Hard, Be Kind, Be Proud, we have also been using the festive season as an opportunity to demonstrate kindness to others.

All tutor groups have been working on donating food items and preparing Christmas hampers for vulnerable families in the Kibworth community.

The coveted prize for the tutor group with the best contribution is a non-uniform day for that tutor group only – this has had all tutor groups collecting hamper items with fervour!

The completed hampers will be delivered to the Well at the end of term – we are grateful for their support in distributing them.

In the countdown to Christmas in what will be a very long term, we have also launched the twelve days of Christmas.  Every day we have a Christmas themed event, from a charity bake sale to Christmas jumper day.

Follow us on twitter to find out what we are up to each day.

Did you attend secondary school in Kibworth?

Join the KMA Alumni Network

We would love to hear from you.

Kibworth is a great community to be a part of and the school is at the heart of that. We would like to ensure that once you start at KMA you are part of our school community and ensure that this does not end when you leave.

Once leaving KMA, we would like you to be a part of our alumni group, who can still benefit from support from the school, but this can go full circle, in that the Alumni can also engage and support those students who are still at school.

We would like to allow former students to stay in touch with friends and teachers and allow them to see how the school grows and improves. If you would like to find out more about the KMA Alumni then please email
