Exciting News

The trustees of Kibworth Community Hub, Kibworth Community Library and both Beauchamp & Harcourt Parish Councils are pleased to announce they have secured almost £264,000 towards developing the new Community Hub. To be exact, we’ve secured from Harborough District Council a section 106 grant of £263,953.99p towards the building of the library extension at the Hall.

Although this is not quite enough to get spades in the ground, it does mean that we can begin the tendering process and look for match funding. It is hoped that building work will be able to start very soon.

This is only the first phase of our ambitious plans for the hall. We will be looking at ways in which the further planned development can be funded over the next year.

Many people from all three organisations have been involved in getting this far. I would like to place on record my thanks to all those who have worked so hard. I don’t intend to name names (for fear of missing someone out!) but I hope that you all know who you are.

ABBA at the Hub

At the Hub, we are looking forward to our ABBA night on Saturday 28 October. We will be showing the film, Mama Mia and also hosting an ABBA quiz. We have a licenced bar and encourage people to come dressed appropriately.

Tickets are available from the hall, or you can email info@kgsh.org.uk or phone Tel:07483373194.
