Japanese students return to Brooke House

After three years of lockdown a group of Japanese students is coming to study at Brooke House in Market Harborough for English lessons and a taste of English Life. The students are all girls aged 14 to 16 years. They will fly from Osaka, the second biggest city in Japan on Sunday 24 July and return on Tuesday 16 August.

While in Market Harborough they will stay with host families. We are looking for friendly families who can give the students a friendly welcome, a comfortable room with a bed, wardrobe, breakfast and evening meal. Lunch is provide at the college. Japanese students are usually quiet and polite and in the past families have found them a pleasure to host. The students have a full programme with lessons at Brooke House 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday and a day visit 8am to 8apm on Saturday. They are collected by Brooke House in the morning and returned to the host family in the evening.

Payment for the stay is £725 for three weeks which is paid at the end of the stay. If you are interested in hosting a student please ring Elizabeth Bowe on 0116 247 7557 or 07748 735254.
