Kibworth Easter Egg Update

Derek and I would like to thank everybody who contributed to make our Easter Egg Appeal so successful. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of people within the Kibworth community. In particular the children who attend Kibworth Mead Academy, numerous local business owners, and our very kind customers from The Railway Arms and O Hair hairdressers.

We managed to collect over 700 Easter eggs and took 500 to the children’s ward at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. We were able to give the rest to The Well, based in Kibworth. To support the amazing food bank that they have run since the first lockdown, to help the vulnerable within the local community.

The first photograph from the hospital shows a young patient who had just been discharged after having eye surgery. He was super happy to meet the Easter Bunny and receive his Easter surprise.

The second is of me and Derek handing the eggs to the staff of the children’s ward.
